2026 Senior Bowl Winners

Feb 4
4 min read

The 2026 Senior Bowl was filled with many incredible performances throughout the course of the week. This Showcase has proven over the years to be an absolute gold mine of NFL talent. Last season, there were 106 players drafted from the 2025 Senior Bowl class. This year should be no different. We wanted to highlight 4 players that absolutely dominated throughout the week and undoubtedly improved the draft stock.

Tyren Montgomery, WR - John Carroll

Height: 5’11 Weight: 190 lbs

Montgomery is a former walk-on basketball player from LSU. He has only been playing the sport for 3 and a half years. Montgomery broke multiple school records in 2025, including the single-season reception record and career receiving yards.

That breakout season turned into a senior bowl invite, and Montgomery made the most out of his opportunity. From Day 1, Montgomery was a household name amongst scouts in attendance. His ability to high point 50/50 balls was on full display. Montgomery was also able to consistently create space with his route running as well.

The former D1 hooper has gone from UDFA to potentially being selected within the top 100 picks come April. You can see the talent from his in-season film. The question marks if he could do it against better competition should now be answered. The final piece to the puzzle is testing well at the combine here in just a few weeks.

Max Iheanachor, OT - Arizona State

Height: 6’5 Weight: 325 lbs

Iheanachor is another player that is fairly new to the sport. He began playing football in 2021 after having a background in soccer and basketball. The Sun Devil tackle earned second team Big 12 honors in 2025 and garnered the attention of scouts across the nation.

Iheanachor’s presence was felt from Day 1. The energy that he was able to bring to the 1 on 1 drills each day was contagious. Iheanachor was absolutely stonewalling some of the country pass rushers and making sure they heard what he had to say afterwards.

Many already believed that Iheanachor had untapped potential but after his week at the senior bowl, that ceiling is even higher than it was a week ago. With OT being a premium position, I think he has a strong possibility of going within the first 2 rounds and maybe even sneaking in at the end of the first round.

Ted Hurst, WR - Georgia Southern

Height: 6’3 Weight: 207 lbs

Hurst absolutely looked the part this past season for the Panthers. The 6 '3 receiver had the ability to potentially hit the portal following a breakout 2024 season, but he made the admirable decision to go back to Georgia Southern because he believed in the program that took a chance on him.

Hurst was able to parlay the back to back stellar seasons into a senior bowl invite. Right out the gate, Hurst set the tone with arguably the best catch seen all week during day 1 of practice. He showcased the perfect blend of explosiveness and athleticism. Hurst was able to have pretty much anything he wanted vertically during the 1 on 1 periods.

Hurst, in my opinion, has played his way into Day 2 or potentially an early Day 3 player. With the caliber athlete that he is, Hurst should be in store to put up monster numbers at the combine. You can clearly see the speed and athleticism on film, but I think just putting numbers on paper, specifically the 40 yard dash and vertical jump, will have the impact in determining which round Hurst falls in.

Garrett Nussmeier, QB - LSU

Height: 6’1 Weight: 202 lbs

Nussmeier revealed he played most of the 2025 season with an oblique injury. It appears that injury played a major part in the regression of production from 2024 to 2025. He was once thought to be a potential first round pick last year but prior to the senior bowl, many believed there was a chance Nussmeier could slide all the way to day 3 in 2026.

Nussmeier was able to impress scouts with some of the throws he put on tape during the week of practice. He made a plethora of layered throws and fit some passes into zone coverage all week. Nussmeier was able to fully encompass his skill set in the Senior Bowl game by leading a scoring drive capped off with his scamper for a TD. Nussmeier went home with MVP honors from the game.

In a “weak” QB class in terms of top talent, Nussmeier may have elevated his stock all the way up to QB3, just behind Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza and Alabama’s Ty Simpson. Nussmeier will have his next opportunity to impress NFL team at the Scouting Combine later this month.

The next time you will be able to see all of these guys back on the field will be at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium. On-field workouts begin February 26th and run through March 1st.

  • Feb 26: Defensive Linemen, Linebackers.

  • Feb 27: Defensive Backs, Tight Ends.

  • Feb 28: Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers, Running Backs.

  • Mar 1: Offensive Linemen.
